Story

Created in 1963 by Christiane Gautrot, the Basile motif is one of the Maison’s earliest graphic signatures. Its interplay of black and white, along with its curves and structured geometry, reflects the period’s fascination with Art Deco lines and the architectural rhythm of Haussmannian Parisian architecture. Over time, the design has become part of Diptyque’s visual heritage, appearing in many contexts and proportions.
